The Journey, Day by Day

Day 1: Château Life Begins

Some places naturally encourage us to slow down.

Château Borgeat is one of them.

After arriving in Bordeaux, we make our way to the château that will be our home for the next few days. Surrounded by vineyards and autumn landscapes, we leave the pace of everyday life behind and settle into a different rhythm.

In the evening, we gather around our first table together, prepared by our French chef, and begin the journey with good food, conversation, and the warmth of château life.

Day 2: Food, Wellbeing & Saint Émilion

Today begins in Saint Émilion, one of Bordeaux's most beautiful wine villages.

At Château Montlabert, Dr. İrem Ergün invites us into the kitchen for a hands on culinary workshop built around one of the questions she is asked most often:

What does eating well actually look like in everyday life?

Together, we prepare a menu created by Dr. Ergün, share a long lunch paired with the château's wines, and continue the afternoon exploring Saint Émilion with Pelin Batu.

As we wander through its medieval streets, we discover the stories, history, and traditions that shaped one of the world's most celebrated wine regions.

Day 3:  Bordeaux Through Local Eyes

The morning is ours to enjoy at the château.

Time to rest, reflect, read, or simply do nothing at all.

Later, together with Pelin Batu, we explore Bordeaux itself. Through its architecture, history, daily rituals, and cultural life, we discover the city beyond its famous vineyards.

A slower afternoon of conversation, exploration, and the simple pleasure of being present.

Day 4: Vineyards, Stories & Halloween at the Château

Our day takes us to Médoc, home to some of Bordeaux's most prestigious wine estates.

At Château Pichon Baron, we explore the region's winemaking heritage through a private visit and tasting.

Back at the château, the afternoon unfolds at your own pace. Some may choose to explore nearby Blaye, while others may prefer the quiet beauty of the château gardens.

As evening falls, Château Borgeat transforms for a very special Halloween celebration.

Candlelit tables, costumes, stories, and surprises set the scene for an unforgettable night.

Later, Pelin Batu shares the fascinating origins of Halloween, tracing its journey from ancient pagan traditions to modern culture through mythology, folklore, nature goddesses, healers, and the forgotten stories of women throughout history.

A night of wine, stories, history, and conversation.

Day 5: Au Revoir

After one final breakfast together, we depart for Bordeaux Airport.

Leaving with new friendships, meaningful conversations, and perhaps a different perspective on what it means to live well.
